Irene and Rick's Wedding Aug 8 09

Steps to making Irene beautiful for her wedding day in Bear Lake. This was Irene's first experience with Airbrush Makeup. She is very sensitive to most cosmetics out on the market. She had no problem or irritation with the products I used and she loved the look it gave her. She was very happy with her hair and makeup artistry and even Charlie was a great client for her wedding day hair. Rick is my only groom who did not get airbrushed, he must have been in hiding...? Rick and Irene were surrounded by lots for family and friends who were so happy to see these two marry. Congrats you two, it was a beautiful day.

Ashley and Derek's Wedding

Moments by Kellee Photography. This wedding was beautiful in many ways, but the most beautiful moment I felt was when Ashley read her vows to Derek. I have never heard anything so beautiful and that expressed true genuine love for another than what she committed to Derek that morning. Congrats you two.

Panic.

At the time I meet Carrie I was a total wreck. Although I had been given a sufficient amount of time to plan out my extensive photography final, I just..... hadn't. Time waits for no man, and I only had one week to pull off something amazing for my last semester at Utah State University. I was desperate in my attempts of finding a makeup artist and pleaded with ladies working at department store counters to do some freelance work for a student in need. No luck. As I was walking through campus one day, I saw a sign with Carries name and number and gave it a chance with low expectations. My first time talking to Carrie felt like talking to an old friend, not only was Carrie willing to make herself available (although plenty busy herself ) I was also able to bounce ideas off of her and she was full of great suggestions. My models had a blast and squealed when I told them they were getting makeovers from a professional. The airbrushing went on smoothly and Carrie paid attention to small details such as an eyelash here or there. One of my models couldn't wait for the photo shoot to be over so she could show her boyfriend her new look. That said, my low expectations received high satisfaction.

What is great about Carrie is that she can see anyone as beautiful and that's exactly the type of makeup artist that is wonderful to work with. I appreciate the professional atmosphere Carrie creates and I can't wait to work with her in the future.

Before and After Photos

Photography is not my speciality, making the client beautiful is! Unfortunately my clients have to have the before and after photos taken, but what good sports they are and how grateful I am for the confidence they have shown in me. I truly am greatful for all the support and dedication.

Jan scheduled hair and makeup to have some professional pictures taken of her, for she needed to have a picture to send to the white house because she was attending the award ceremony for the business owners who received the small business of the year award. A recognition banquet was held in Washington last May. Congrats Jan!

DID YOU KNOW????

• Combing is less detrimental than brushing
o When the hair is wet, it is stretched out and therefore very fragile. So use a wide toothed comb on damp hair rather than a brush.
• Correct shampooing will not dry out the hair
o Try using a professional product. Store bought shampoos are too strong for most hair types. Imagine shampooing your hair with Tide or Cascade! Bumble and Bumble is my favorite product line!!!!
• Wet hair should not be rubbed since hair is very sensitive
o Most of the time, you probably towel dry your hair too roughly. Try just blotting the hair with a towel or squeezing the towel around your hair to get the moisture out.
• Hormone imbalance and crash dieting can trigger temporary hair loss
o Don’t stress! It’s just temporary. But if the problem persists, you need to consider using DENSITY THERAPY shampoo, conditioner and complex by Bumble and Bumble.

• On average, a man spends about five months of his life shaving, shaving about 20,000 times.
• On average, a hair strand's life span is five and a half years.
• On average redheads have 90,000 hairs. People with black hair have about 110,000 hairs.
• Humans have about the same number of hair follicles as a chimpanzee.
• The average human head weighs about eight pounds.
• The reason why hair turns gray as we age is because the pigment cells in the hair follicle start to die, which is responsible for producing "melanin" which gives the hair colour.
• The fastest growing tissue in the human body is hair.

A Lesson on Diverson

What is Diversion?

When Professional Products are sold in unauthorized retailers - Think
Bumble and Bumble at Target, Paul Mitchell at Alberston's, Kerastase at Nordstrom's, etc. Professional products are only to be sold at authorized salons.

Why is Diversion bad?

Diverted products can be counterfeit, diluted formulas, or old, expired formulas that may not be safe to use. Meaning your getting watered down shampoos and conditioners, styling products that are expired or better yet, Suave in a professionally branded bottle. Imagine paying 58 bucks for a bottle of Suave!

Who is Diverting?

Products are diverted by unauthorized distributors and salons or their employees, plus other dishonest individuals who see profit in piracy.

What can you do about Diversion?


Buy from professional retailers only. Its the only way any professional brand can guarantee its product. Expired formulas could cause irritation or worse, you don't get to see what professional products can really do for your hair.
Now, Im talking any professional brand - Matrix, Paul Mitchell, Pureology, Logics, Redken, Bumble and Bumble, Davines, Dermalogica, Shu Uemura, and the list goes on and on.

If you see a professional product anywhere other than a salon retail location, its Diverted. Period.

Now most of these formulas are within cents of the salon cost. Im talking pennies. Sometimes they are more expensive but because you see it at a discount store you automatically believe that no matter what the price is on the sku, because of where your at it means its cheaper. WRONG! Don't be fooled.

Buy Professional from a Professional!

IMATS inspirational makeup by some very talented artist 6/09

So the artist from Makeup Forever created this amazing model. This gives alot of inspiration to continue to remain out of the box! The other models aside from the body art model are students who entered the contest. Theme was Gothic Beauty! IMATS is an annual makeup convention held in Pasadena CA. Great fun till the car was towed!!! lol
