Sharing the Joy....

Many people ask me if I like being a makeup/hair artist. Normally I answer back with a quick "yes", but truthfully that doesn't really cover the half of it. I don't "like" my job, I LOVE IT! Why?...well if you were in my shoes you would know exactly what I meant.
Even though I'm a makeup/hair artist, I wear a variety of other hats in my life as a mother, daughter, sister, wife, artist, teacher, beauty expert and a business woman. All of these elements add a lot of flavor to the mix, so I just thought to myself "you've logged a lot of hours on this interesting journey of yours, so you might as well share the ride". So I am! That will be the only way for you to understand what I love about my profession and why I love living in the moment....

FEATURED BRIDAL SESSION~ KODI

I first meet Kodi a year ago, she had just returned from serving charity work in Africa and contacted me with interest in hair and makeup as she was now competing in the MCV pageant. I know impressive already,
right! Anyway, I instantly feel in love with her (how can you not). Kodi is one of the sweetest girls I have ever met! So a year later she contacts me again and tells me she is now getting married and wanted my services for her special day! I was so tickled to hear where life had taken Kodi over the year and could not have been more honored to be sharing this moment with her. We schedule her consultation and of course she brings her dad with her again. This is what I admired the most about Kodi is the relationship she and her father share, it is truly something special. On her wedding day all I could think about was how her father was not only giving away his little girl, but his best friend. Kodi's contagious smile is only a reflection of the love that surrounds her, but also the beauty she has within that radiates all around her. FEATURED ENGAGEMENT SESSION~ ETF PHOTOGRAPHY

Staci had contacted me while I was on vacation is Scottsdale. She said she needed the works and her wedding was a month away. When I say the works, cut and color, hair extensions, makeup and signature hair design for engagements, formals and wedding day. Yes, this is exactly the type of clients I love calling me!! Well with such short notice and having a booked calendar already I was able to arrange everything to get this beautiful bride all ready for her pre- wedding photo sessions. Staci is a very simple woman that exemplifies natural beauty. She is as sweet on the inside as she looks on the out. I love how she earns to learn, she really is amazing. Very laid back and down to earth, but as you can see shes also has a real elegance about her. I kept her look very sweet with soft tones and her hair with light curls. I think it mimics the natural beauty of the cherry blossoms and I could not be happier. Also I always love working with new photographers and seeing the results in talents coming together to produce beautiful pictures. Elizabeth Taylor Frandsen has an amazing talent, one that can really capture the essences of real beauty, http://www.etfphotography.com/

You can just feel the love between these two.

SNEAK PEAK OF FEATURED BRIDAL SESSION COMING SOON.

I cant wait to see and share this session with you. I love working with new clients, especially when it comes to capturing their beauty and their love.

In Honor of Mothers Day...Ms. Sandie

Sandie had this wonderful idea that she wanted to give her three daughters pictures of her as a gift. She had been on the quest of changing her life and after months of dedication and several pounds and inches shed. She was ready to show off her new self with a new makeover as well. How fun it was to listen to her journey and what transpired this new personal growth in her. I can only hope her daughters find the value and love that their mother had dedicated not only to herself but to the angels in her life. I was touched by this story and thought is was so fitting as we approach Mother's Day this Sunday. As a mother myself, I could not ask for a better gift than being the mother of my two beautiful children. My children are my most precious blessings. Happy Mother's Day to all you wonderful moms.
