Sharing the Joy....

Many people ask me if I like being a makeup/hair artist. Normally I answer back with a quick "yes", but truthfully that doesn't really cover the half of it. I don't "like" my job, I LOVE IT! Why?...well if you were in my shoes you would know exactly what I meant.
Even though I'm a makeup/hair artist, I wear a variety of other hats in my life as a mother, daughter, sister, wife, artist, teacher, beauty expert and a business woman. All of these elements add a lot of flavor to the mix, so I just thought to myself "you've logged a lot of hours on this interesting journey of yours, so you might as well share the ride". So I am! That will be the only way for you to understand what I love about my profession and why I love living in the moment....

CLIENT TESTIMONIAL ~ AMBER

Carrie did my hair and makeup for my engagements, bridals and also for my wedding day! She is absolutely amazing at what she does and I would highly recommend her to anybody. I really had no idea what I wanted and she made me feel so comfortable in what I thought would be a tough decision making process. We got married in Cancun, Mexico and not once did I have to worry about if I was going to sweat the makeup off or if the makeup was going to run because of all the crying I did, I had total trust in Carrie and she knew exactly what she needed to do to prevent those things from happening. Carrie even airbrushed my husband and nobody could even tell that he had makeup on! I still look back at my pictures and think to myself "how beautiful" and I owe that all to Carrie. Words cannot express how grateful I am to have had such a wonderful experience with Carrie and I cant thank her enough for making me look gorgeous on the most exciting day of my life!!

CLIENT TESTIMONIAL ~ A TRAC HAIR EXTENSIONS

I have had hair extensions for almost 3 years now and I hated them. They were so hard on my hair and hard to take care of, and I always had to buy new hair, which got extremely expensive. The only reason I kept getting them done was because if i took them out, I hated the way I looked cause my hair was so thin. They literally ruined my hair!! My mom started getting her extensions done from Carrie and loved her work because of a new technique she knew for doing extensions that doesn't damage your hair. So she told me to try her, but I didn't think a new way of doing it would solve any of my problems because I had already tried everything else, and nothing had ever worked. After bugging me about it for a couple months she set me up an appointment. I figured I hated them anyways no matter who did them so it wouldn't hurt anything.

Wow, was I wrong! First off, I was amazed at how little of my hair she uses to put them in, and they hold great. I've had them in now for 11 months and I LOVE THEM!! They are so easy to take care of. Sometimes I forget I even have them in and nobody else can even tell. The best part is that I am saving money because I have had the same hair for 11 months and its still in GREAT shape! Not to mention how happy that makes my husband that I'm not spending as much money! :) Carrie is so good at what she does and I trust her so much that I don't even tell her what to do anymore, I just let her go to town and I always leave loving it! I will NEVER go to anyone else! Thanks mom for telling me about her, and Thanks Carrie for doing such amazing work!!

MY TIME AT MISS AMERICA 2011...

My time and experience at Miss America 2011 in Las Vegas was something I will never forget. I did not know exactly what to expect going into this opportunity, and what I got out of it was far more than one could hope for. I had met Krystal back in July 2010 at a national pageant in New Hampshire. We had spoke briefly over my clients who had won most in their categories. I never guessed from that encounter it would be taking me to Miss America 2011 as her personal hair and makeup artist. When it was time to work I went giving 110% of my dedication and artistry, I was in Vegas and was not allowing the odds to be against me. As I entered the Makeup/ Hair room I instantly walked into NETWORK OPPORTUNITY! At first, I kinda thought 'what I was experiencing' was as close to reality TV as I could imagine. After a long week of sharing that room with sooo many talented and amazing artist, I returned home with having more gratitude fill my heart and feeling so blessed to have met so many wonderful mentors who I now call dear friends. Miss America 2011 has led me on a pathway of unbelievable opportunity and I just cannot wait to see where this yellow brick road takes me. It truly was 9 days of beauty, luck and dreams...
