Jessica was all the way in Ecuador last summer and had contacted me by email asking if I was available to do her hair and makeup for her bridal session and wedding day. The only catch was that she was not returning to the states until a month prior to her wedding day and she had a lot to do in a month!! Once I finally met Jess for her trial session, I knew instantly this was one special lady. Her energy was most contagious and I loved her outlook on life. At such a young age, she truly has experienced a quality of life that has molded her into the beautiful woman she is. So in between all her appointments of getting herself back into bride mode we had her bridal session and the pictures are a pure example of what she reflects. It is simple beauty that just makes you smile and those dimples say everything. Photography by Melissa Kelsey
Sharing the Joy....
Many people ask me if I like being a makeup/hair artist. Normally I answer back with a quick "yes", but truthfully that doesn't really cover the half of it. I don't "like" my job, I LOVE IT! Why?...well if you were in my shoes you would know exactly what I meant.
Even though I'm a makeup/hair artist, I wear a variety of other hats in my life as a mother, daughter, sister, wife, artist, teacher, beauty expert and a business woman. All of these elements add a lot of flavor to the mix, so I just thought to myself "you've logged a lot of hours on this interesting journey of yours, so you might as well share the ride". So I am! That will be the only way for you to understand what I love about my profession and why I love living in the moment....
