My time and experience at Miss America 2011 in Las Vegas was something I will never forget. I did not know exactly what to expect going into this opportunity, and what I got out of it was far more than one could hope for. I had met Krystal back in July 2010 at a national pageant in New Hampshire. We had spoke briefly over my clients who had won most in their categories. I never guessed from that encounter it would be taking me to Miss America 2011 as her personal hair and makeup artist. When it was time to work I went giving 110% of my dedication and artistry, I was in Vegas and was not allowing the odds to be against me. As I entered the Makeup/ Hair room I instantly walked into NETWORK OPPORTUNITY! At first, I kinda thought 'what I was experiencing' was as close to reality TV as I could imagine. After a long week of sharing that room with sooo many talented and amazing artist, I returned home with having more gratitude fill my heart and feeling so blessed to have met so many wonderful mentors who I now call dear friends. Miss America 2011 has led me on a pathway of unbelievable opportunity and I just cannot wait to see where this yellow brick road takes me. It truly was 9 days of beauty, luck and dreams...Sharing the Joy....
Many people ask me if I like being a makeup/hair artist. Normally I answer back with a quick "yes", but truthfully that doesn't really cover the half of it. I don't "like" my job, I LOVE IT! Why?...well if you were in my shoes you would know exactly what I meant.
Even though I'm a makeup/hair artist, I wear a variety of other hats in my life as a mother, daughter, sister, wife, artist, teacher, beauty expert and a business woman. All of these elements add a lot of flavor to the mix, so I just thought to myself "you've logged a lot of hours on this interesting journey of yours, so you might as well share the ride". So I am! That will be the only way for you to understand what I love about my profession and why I love living in the moment....

FEATURED BRIDALS...KYNZIE & CHAD
Kynzie my first winter bride! And, what a beautiful bride she is. When I asked Kynzie what the theme of her wedding would be, she said 'chic, romantic elegance' and did she ever look so elegant! This photo session is her bridals/formals. She looks stunning and with the winter landscape it really makes it look that more romantic.I always love getting the opportunity to work with so many beautiful brides and new photographers. It really does allow a collaboration of talent, emphasizing the art in all individuals that results in true beauty that is cherished for a lifetime.

CLIENT TESTIMONIAL~ JOCELYN
I can’t say enough about Carrie Purser and her amazing talents! This past July was one of the biggest days of my life…..my wedding of course! Luckily I was introduced to Carrie, and she was able to make my day magical! After our consultation, I knew she was the one. I had no worries after that, and had complete confidence in her. When I went for my trial, I didn’t really have any hair ideas in mind. My hair is long and extremely thick. Most of the time it is unmanageable and thrown into a ponytail. My only suggestion was that I wanted it all up, but I didn’t want it to look like a big “blob” on my head. She was able to create an impressive “up-do”. Not only that, she was able to re-create it 3 other times: our wedding photo session, our wedding day, and our reception in Idaho. Carrie is also an amazing make-up artist. She is a perfectionist, and it shows in her make-up. I can’t even remember all the compliments I got on how beautiful I looked. I am reminded of this each and every time I look at a wedding photo. I owe it all to Carrie! Carrie is so fun to be around, and she is truly concerned about her brides. Not only did I get to spend time with here on my wedding day, but she also traveled with us to California for our photo shoots and our Idaho reception. I would recommend Carrie to any bride. It is your day to shine, and Carrie can make it happen! Thanks Carrie!!!Jocelyn Taylor Hamilton
FEATURED WEDDING....KELSI & CHRIS
Kelsi and Chris, what a fun couple! The energy between these two is very contagious, they could not have been more fun to be around. Their theme was 'Fiesta' and did they ever pull it off with great food and flare of a real Mexican fiesta. Photography by http://www.momentsbykellee/
